JRW has over 20 years of experience building everything from small residential improvements to new multi-level construction. We have the workforce and sub-contractor network to handle any size of project.
We are a locally owned and operated general contracting company. We serve Oregon and Washington state. Our goal is to establish relationships by serving our clients and building their dreams.
When did you start your construction career?
I started in the construction industry professionally in 1997, but I grew up surrounded by construction, and my goal was always to follow in my Dad's footsteps when it came to building.
What was your first construction project?
I remember barely being able to pick up a hammer and my Dad telling me to go around the house and make sure all the nails were hammered down flush with the underlayment on the floor before carpet, I must have been 7 or 8. He probably had to go back over it to make sure it was done right. My Dad always had me on the job site when I was very young not sure my Mom approved but I remember sanding sheet rock at 11 years old which I remember being grueling, or tiling my first floor at 12. My Dad always instilled in me an incredible work ethic, much of my success today I owe to my Dad he was always pushing me at a young age to do things faster and with better quality than the men 10 and 20 years my senior on his crew. He was my best critic.
What do you see in the future for your company?
It's not just my company. My company was built with an incredible team effort based around a family atmosphere, and that is what I hold dear to my heart. There is absolutely no way I could have pulled off some of the projects we have without an incredible team backing me up. The future looks amazing because even the projects we have completed and the relationships we have made are only the beginning of what is in our future. We keep getting better at what we do best, and that is building friendships that will last generations and bringing their dreams into reality.
